Putting My Cookbook to The Test
Read more about my little experiment— putting my own cookbook to the test to lose 20 pounds.
I had 3 kids under 3. Right after our third, I published my first cookbook. A few months later, we renovated and relaunched Victory Gym. With all the recipe testing, restaurant collabs, and running two businesses… I stayed consistent, but never really worked toward any physical goals after baby #3.
Now I’m ready for a challenge. So I thought—why not show you how the meals I created in my cookbook can actually support real goals, in a busy season of life? I have a plan— read more below!
THE EXPERIMENT
I thought it’d be a fun little experiment to show you how the recipes I created in my upcoming cookbook can actually support real goals—even in the middle of a busy season 😃 I’ve been relying on these meals daily to keep things high-protein, practical, and easy to stick to. This isn’t an all-or-nothing plan or a dramatic transformation—just a new level of intention. I’ve been training for years, but now I’m pairing that with more mindful eating, sticking to satisfying portions, and building most of my meals around the high-protein recipes from my upcoming cookbook:
✨ Feeding the Nobles: A Better Way to Meal Prep (aka freezer-friendly meals that don’t taste like cardboard 🙌🏼)
🎯 THE GOAL:
Lose 20 lbs—at my own pace, in a sustainable way.
💪🏼 THE FITNESS PLAN:
Keep lifting 3–4x/week and add in more daily walking.
🍎 THE NUTRITION PLAN:
Eat my high-protein freezer meals daily (soon to be released, sign up for my newsletter to be in the loop)
Cut out snacking on the kids’ leftovers
Brush teeth after dinner to signal the kitchen is closed
Start with general awareness of intake—adjust if needed
Stay flexible for real life: restaurant collabs, family events, etc.
