A Look at Life & Business 2026

A season of growth, grace, and building things we love. This year stretched us in ways we didn’t expect, but also grounded us in what we value most.

The last life update I shared was back in November of 2025 (read here).

Since then, it’s wild to look back at how much has grown. From starting the gym in the basement of our first home, to running it out of our third-car garage, to now operating out of a fully renovated facility with a team, more flexibility, and a rhythm that feels a little less like survival.

Feeding the Nobles has followed a similar story. It started in that same first home with one working burner, a DIY pantry in the basement, and a simple idea Caleb had to start sharing what we were learning about food and health. We just began documenting what we were trying, cooking, and figuring out along the way on Instagram and that turned into a community of people growing right alongside us.

What began as sharing pictures of food we made eventually turned into something more. I decided I wanted to put all my favorite recipes in one place, so Caleb went to Best Buy, bought me a laptop, and that’s when I started working on our first cookbook (pregnant with our third and stepping into being a stay-at-home mom).

There’s been growth in both of our worlds, but this season has held both extremes.

Moments where we feel deeply grateful for the freedom we’ve built… and moments where it feels like we’re quietly in a valley wondering if we’re the only ones carrying this kind of weight behind the scenes.

But through both, God has been faithful. An anchor in the unknown, and a constant presence through it all.

The Gym: From Surviving to Settling In

This past January marked our first full year in the new gym space.

When I wrote last year’s update preparing to launch the new facility, I really believed we were sprinting toward a finish line. I had this expectation that once we opened the doors, things would finally feel lighter.

Like we’d arrive.

Instead, the following 12+ months were some of the most stretching we’ve experienced.

I saw Caleb much less, which in this season meant less shared parenting support at home while still carrying everything else…raising three kids, homeschooling, building Feeding the Nobles, and trying to stay present in it all.

It wasn’t what I pictured.

But I’m thankful we’re in a different rhythm now than we were then.

For the first time since opening the gym, we’ve been able to step away without everything stopping. We’ve been able to travel, leave for a few days, breathe a little and trust that what we’ve built can continue running.

I’ve started having a sitter come a few times a week so I can train without the kids, and it’s been a small change that’s made a big difference.

One of the most rewarding parts of this entire journey has been the people.

The community inside the gym has become some of our closest friendships. Getting to show up each day not just to run a business, but to be surrounded by people who support, encourage, and genuinely care, it’s something we don’t take lightly!

More than anything, this year has felt like a shift. Learning how to manage our time well, create intentional margin, and prioritize our family in a way that supports the life we want to live.

And in a lot of ways, it reflects something we’re learning across both businesses:

The goal isn’t to build something that consumes your life…but something that supports it.

Feeding the Nobles: Expanding the Vision

On the Feeding the Nobles side, this year has looked very different.

We launched our first meal prep eBook, which came together through a full photoshoot in the most beautiful home. It was such a fun and creative project (view here).

We also launched a YouTube channel, which has been both exciting and stretching. We’re still figuring out exactly what role it will play long-term, but we’ve enjoyed the process of experimenting and learning as we go. (And if you happen to know a great editor… send them our way 😊).

That’s been a theme this year. Giving ourselves permission to build in motion instead of waiting for perfect clarity.

We also recently recorded our first digital course, The JERF Method, which we’re planning to launch soon. That project feels especially meaningful because it captures the deeper philosophy behind everything we share and have learned over the years.

Not just recipes, but a way of approaching food, rhythm, and life that feels realistic, sustainable, and freeing.

Alongside that, we’ve focused on consistency. Showing up daily on socials, creating fresh, high-quality content, sharing more of our real life, and building a stronger way to stay connected with this community.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I’ve felt this unexpected creative energy again.

I’ve been learning how to use a camera, creating recipes, writing, and telling stories—not just our own, but also highlighting others and capturing behind-the-scenes moments. It’s been incredibly inspiring!

There’s been so much relief in allowing myself to grow into it slowly instead of feeling like I need to have it all figured out.

At the same time, Caleb has been stepping even more into his strengths- systems, structure, education, and building the backend of Feeding the Nobles in a way that gives it real depth.

It’s been really cool to watch those pieces come together.

And underneath it all, the mission hasn’t changed: to help people feel more equipped, more grounded, and more free in how they live and eat. To remind people that it doesn’t have to be complicated…to keep it simple and just eat real food.

Beyond the Kitchen Table

This year, we’ve also expanded beyond just meals at home.

We care deeply about what we’re cooking in our kitchen, but we’ve also started sharing more of how we live that out in real life. On the road. Traveling. Experiencing new places. Enjoying quality hospitality. And finding ways to stay grounded in real food even when life isn’t perfectly planned.

It’s less about perfection and more about awareness.

Less about rules and more about rhythm.

And more about building a life that supports everything we care about.

Stepping away from home more has been one of the most unexpected gifts of this season!

Life at Home

Outside of work, this season of life has been really sweet.

Our kids are now 6, 4, and 3. We’re in a stage where getting out of the house is easier, traveling feels more doable, and life feels more flexible than it has in past seasons.

Homeschooling has played a big role in that.

It’s given us a level of freedom and family connection that we’ve come to really value. There’s something special about building our days together, learning together, and having the ability to adjust as we go.

We’ve also leaned more into what Caleb calls “mini retirements”. Taking time away, even briefly, to travel, reset, and make memories now instead of waiting for a “someday season”.

More than anything, we just love being able to say yes to time together.

To new experiences.

To building a life that doesn’t feel like it has to wait.

Looking Ahead

If there’s anything this season has taught us, it’s that building a life and building businesses are deeply intertwined…but they don’t always move in a straight line.

We’re learning to care less about doing everything, and more about doing the right things well.

We’re learning to build at a pace that allows us to actually enjoy it.

And we’re continuing to shape a life that reflects what matters most to us—not just in business, but in how we spend our time, our energy, and our attention.

There are still days that feel full.
Still days that feel heavy.
And still days that feel like this is exactly where we’re meant to be.

Sometimes all in the same week 😜

But overall, we’re grateful.

We’re growing.

And we’re still building something we really believe in.

Thanks for being here with us in it all 🤍

A Walk Down Memory Lane

From operating our online gym in the basement of our first home, to our very first Feeding the Nobles photoshoot when we had no idea where it would lead…to now running a fully renovated gym facility and creating new cookbooks, courses, and fun content each year…what a journey it has been!

We started small, dreaming big, and slowly built both of these brands side by side pouring everything we had into turning ideas into something real.

Looking back at it all, the early spaces, the first photos, the messy beginnings…it reminds us how much heart, hustle, and sacrifice has gone into building what we have today.

Grateful for the past. Thankful for the present. And excited for what’s ahead.

The best is yet to come!
